I was raised a Democrat. We do not believe in abortion or gay marriage. Totally agree with some of the Republican viewpoints. My biggest problem with Republicans is their lack of concern for the environment, the land, water, etc. The protest now with the Native Americans is the perfect example of big oil and money destroying their way of life if the pipeline goes through and should we have a disastrous spill. It is disgraceful what has been done to the Native Americans. Also, they want to take thousands of acres of land in Utah. Everything is about money with Republicans. I do not consider all republicans to be greedy, but unfortunately too many are consumed with money.

@ Janice : I agree with the environment issue for sure....i believe you are born gay it is your DNA make up so not a social or pollitical issue..nobodies business but your own and if you have ever spoken to a gay person who wishes they could take a pill to reverse it ...lots would...abortions well again up to the individual or individuals ...it is not a decision that is easy to make for many people..if the choice to be able to abort safely gets taken away then it will become unsafe and many people will suffer...or babies will be dumped....sorry harsh but that is going to happen as it has in the past

Min wage should be higher, try living low income like me my fiance been laid off since November and now I just got laid off and trying to find another job , I can't get unemployment so I need to find a job asap and because it's only 8.00 whatever an hour I can't afford to pay my bills. SO it should go up

@ Jody : Do you want to know what would happen to the economy if minimum wage increased. Well I'm going to tell you. Businesses wouldn't be able to keep as many workers and would have to lay off a ton. The businesses that would close down would leave tons of people looking for work. Eventually everyone would be living off of welfare and the debt would increase dramatically. That is the problem with people. They only think about themselves. Nobody cares about the greater good. With more education comes higher wages. I can tell you haven't thought of that before just looking at your grammar in your response. I'd check into that.

@ Nolan : Wages are so low in usa its about time a reward for working is applied..taxes will go up but also workers ethic will to and higher turn over of sales and motivation .......you would be amazed at what inceasing a wage will do for production, sales etc.......endless because if your paid well you perform well

It's humorous to me when people say they are against oil drilling. Okkkkkk so please answer a simple question...please tell me how can you do any of the following things without oil, drive a gasoline/diesel powered vehicle, fly on a plane, ride on a train or bus? Well, here are a few more. What do you use to make asphalt roads? How do you build any kind of home or building without construction equipment? How do you heat any of these structures? How do you get pretty much any of the things you consume and or own? You need OIL!!! I complete agree we have to look for alternative fuels and I get it with the environment, but we need oil for everything!

@ Cdub : Yeah but no fracking right...all of the oil extracted so far is not coming from penetrating the earths core....most of it comes from australia off shore or middle east...lil in usa...its about protecting the earth and also living on it not raping it
