This writer infused modern ideological positions of each party. My main question is: The difference between a Republican and Democrat. Liberal or conservative stances aside, the Dems believe in a strong central government, while Republicans tend to hold for states rights( 10th Amend,) True, the tenets were reversed back in the mid 1800's due to positions on Slavery. To me, being a D or R is like a religion, you just don't switch sides because you get mad at someone.

With your horrible grammar aside, "It's gross" is totally an opinion and surely you know that is not a legitimate reason why gay marriage shouldn't be legal. You just absolutely embarrassed yourself. Your comment may have even been tolerable if you cited a religious opinion on why gay marriage should be illegal, but no. Democrats don't "believe" in abortion any many would never actually have one themselves. Democrats believe in a woman making her own decision about her own body. Oh Amy, you have a difficult life ahead of you with that mentality. At the very least, if you're going to state your opinion about something; at least have a good reason why you feel that way. It's always nice to hear from someone who thinks they should be able to dictate what people can and cannot do.

On abortion i agree with Jason McCurry rape and if childbirth was going to kill the mother (unless she wants to go through with it) but going overboard with abortion for any other reason is just wrong i think like the teens in highschool that are like "Oh yeah just had my fifth abortion" i dont believe in that but for the most part the people who oppose abortion use protection
