If this guy actually read the Bible he would know that "it is not by works but by faith that we are saved" and he was way off on his decoration of "all Christians believe that baptism is what saves" or something like that. No, actually no Christians believe that, at least no Christian that believes the Bible. Catholics believe that because Catholics believe in salvation by works, where you have to physically do this and this to get into heaven, that's why they added onto the Bible and have all sorts of rituals. Christians, at least ones who have a thorough understanding of the Bible, believe in salvation through Christ who died for our sins and that only Jesus has saving power and we as sinners are helpless to get into heaven, that's why Jesus died and rose again was to atone for our sins so that now we can go to heaven, it's nothing we did, it's what god did.

The really sad thing about the Bible, Jesus, Christians, The Roman Catholic Church, and people in general, is that they fashion religion into whatever they feel like in order to behave the way they want to. They twist an already vague and misinterpreted text that's been translated over 16times by different people from different parts of the world, that have 'hangovers' from other ancient texts slipped in there for dessert. Some people even believe that the start of Bethlehem was actually a UFO that directed the wise men to the manger where 'Jesus' was allegedly born. What was so wise about them to begin with? They consulted an oracle that foretold that there would be a coming of a 'chosen one' somewhere in the Middle East - the same way some people interpreted that the world would end in the year 2012 according to something written in in South America. Then, when it didn't, they tried to explain it away as some misunderstanding of time from the olden days - the same as in the book of Genesis when men purportedly lived to be hundreds, if not thousands of years old. Dunno what to say about homos, except, I do find it kind of strange and outlandish that some men get married, have children with a woman, then wake up one day to make the announcement that they're gay. Hard to blame it on genetics based on the evidence. And if it's a choice, why would you choose it? And why do I have to accept it just because society does? That's not the kind of thing I want my children to grow up thinking is 'normal'. Normal to me is a man and a woman getting together that way. Apparently to God as well, or, he'd of fashioned men to bear children by other men. He didn't. Who cares what a manipulated manuscript calls it. If you know anything about "The Bible" you'd know that is was re-written several times in several languages by several people over a span of several hundred years. It was put together piecemeal - not authored in its entirety by one person in a single sitting (lifetime) like the book of Mormon allegedly written by a man named Joseph Smith. At the end of it all, whatever you believe, do you follow it? Or do you just give lip service to it. If Jesus died to "take away the sins of the world" what evidence is there when you look out the window, read the paper, take public transit, etc. that our "sins" were taken away? Seems to me like we are sinning more than we ever have been. What would God - assuming he's loving - endorse about the way we conduct ourselves on this Earth? There's no doubt He or It is Creative, yes, but loving? How are we all 'equal' in the eyes of God? And how can any human possibly speculate how God sees us? You can comment on anything/everything I have written here, but it will do you no good. I might as well be writing a new New Testament, as, I am a creation of God, I have a hand with which to type, therefore this comment was authored by "The Hand of God" just as the Bible was in it's various forms.

I agree and it is very clear to me that homosexuality is against both Christian and the catholic faith. Very clear that marriage/relationships should be between a man and a woman.

am catholic but am also christian

Homosexuality is wrong because it is not ordained by God. We were made in Gods image. God created a lesser being "humans" to defeat Satan. To show Satan that beings less than him could defeat him. I do not agree with homosexuality. Love the sinner hate the sin. That goes for all sin, lust, envy, murder, stealing etc.Sin is sin. We were born into sin because of the fall of man in the garden of Eden. If you don't believe in Christ you need to. It's the best life insurance policy you can have. It's better to have God and not need Him, then need him and not have him. Also, many beleive in God, but it's through Jesus Christ we are saved. The only way to the Father is through the Son.

+Clint there are infant baptisms in Christianity and I was baptized and I am a Christian so you're technically wrong.

Jesus said in the book of Matthew go teach all nations baptizing them in the NAME of the father and of the Son and of the HOLY GHOST So if you know his NAME then you Know we are to be BAPTIZED as it is written there is no other name below heaven we must be saved by also We are heirs of our lord an savour inheritance that he has promised to his children

Homosexuality is a sin, but that does not necessarily mean they are automatically damned to hell. You have to understand, it is also against the bible to judge people and say, "Oh because you did this you are going to hell." All of mankind sins. Every single one of us. We have free will. This is why we do so. There is no righteous people. And some people are not able to control themselves. God forgives when he understands that these people do not know. Whether they go to heaven or hell, That is his call, not ours. You are supposed to love one another, whether you are gay, straight, Christian, Atheist, etc. We are all supposed to love one another. And Eve was the first one to eat the forbidden fruit. She ate it because the talking snake convinced her that God didn't want her to eat it because it would make her just as powerful as him. And well, look at the snake. He could talk! So she decided to eat the forbidden fruit. She convinced Adam to eat the fruit as well. Adam chose his love for Eve over his love for God and ate the fruit. This is why we have sin. We have free will. God gave us free will. Not even Satan himself can change that fact and force us to do things. We choose to sin just as much as we choose to worship God. But this does not mean Satan doesn't try to make us do things. He does. He makes it to where we sin. He makes us think things that aren't entirely true. Satan wants to do everything he can to make us believe what he wants us to believe. So he makes false Christians. You know, the ones who are judgmental towards everyone and everything and call gays evil or devil worshipers. Being gay is just as much of a sin as anything else. But it's the most commonly known because of the false Christians who say horrid things about these people. Gays are still people, just as much as Christians are still people. The more you insult gays, the less they will like Christians. The less they will want to be Christians. The less they will love God. God loves all, so why do Christians act like they hate all and make it seem like God's creations are all evil because they are not one of us. If you truly do follow the bible, then stop saying that gays will automatically go to hell. Stop judging like the bible says too. Another note, Baptism is more of a rebirth. It is not required for salvation. It more like means that you have been saved. But salvation doesn't wrap around it. Even if you have been baptized, it is possible that you won't receive salvation.
