I have been in the hospital twice for this already, have had a blood transfusion from loosing so much blood. I tried a Tea Called yarrow that helped me.

I have been bleeding for 7 months straight. Heavy not light. I can't use pads or tampons, not enough protection. I have to wear adult diapers and I change those 3 or more times a day. I loose clots all day all night. I have been jumping through hoops with my doctors. I just want a hysterectomy. I have had cervical cancer twice now. Frustrated!!!

@ : Annoyed and CLB - mine is going on two months now. My Gyn suggested it might be all the red meat and dairy in our diets that are injected with so many hormones. She suggested going on an all plant based diet for a little while anyway - if your sure you have no cancer- to see if that alleviates the bleeding non stop for 7 months! Wow! Please take iron if your not already doing so and you didn't mention your age - but what about an oblation to stop the bleeding? (Only if you don't plan on becoming pregnant? An Oblation is good for 5 years to stop bleeding and periods all together.

I'm thirteen and got my period this summer and it's been going on for almost a month now! It's not heavy and it's on and off but it bleeds everyday. Only like 2 times it was heavy when I could actually feel other gush of it coming out. I'm scared and I don't wanna tell my mom it's embarrassing. Is it normal? Because I did just get it and it's suppose to be unusual. What's wrong with me? And I don't bleed when I'm sleeping it's weird.

I have been on my period for over a year now. I'm not sure what to do. I have went to the hospital they said everything looks fine down there. Obvious to me that's it's not my period as not stopped in over a year. I am really starting to get scared.

@ : Amber, is is not normal to bleed for over a year! Please go to an OB/Gyn and explain all your symptoms. In the mean time, get yourself vitamins, particularly iron pills and start taking them on a regular basis. You could have fibroids that are bleeding. You need to see a doc asap

I have been on my period for almost 3 weeks now. I keep thinking it might be stopping but then low and below it comes a bit heavier again and the slight stomach cramps come, suggesting it just my period that isn't ending and nothing more sinister. I am 44 so the thought of the change has come into my head a little bit, after seeing other comments on the Internet. It is a pain that it hasn't stopped in a 'normal' length of time.

I am 44 and my period won't stop. It isn't what I'd class as heavy, there's no way I could go without pads. The flow keeps varying. I've seen that the onset of the menopause can prolong your period and that it can start from this age. I just wish I knew when it's going to stop bleeding. I'm not overly worried, however, it is an inconvenience.

I am fourteen and every time I get on my period it lasts for about a month or longer. I have large clots and it is disgusting. I am to shy and embarrassed to tell my mom and I dont know what to do. I am almost permanently around a lot of people which makes it really uncomfortable and when my friends speak about their period lengths I feel like an outsider since I am embarrassed to speak along. I dont know what to do and is scared. Any advice ? Please!!

@ : Aubrey, please tell your Mom. You need to see a gynecologist. Explain everything that's happening and get some help. I hope you feel better soon
