Erm. Well, they both experienced kind of similiar childhoods (Child abuse) so they are both known for living through that. But Micheal Jackson is known for his musical career, and Marylin also sang to the president, but did not pursue large musical fame. She's more "iconic" than Jackson is. But Barbie's a mere doll icon, and she's known by like everyone. So...? Who's more famous, Marylin Monroe or Micheal Jackson? Nobody, or both of them. If you think about it, they almost fall into entirely different categories of fame, so they (arguably) shouldln't even be compared.

Alexander Dumas should most definitely B included in this list. The Three Musketeers and the count of Monte Cristo Warrant that alone, not to mention his other works.
