Anyone using 'enjoy' at the end of a letter (personal or otherwise) should be executed. James Banville 44, Colliers Close, Woking, Surrey, GU21 3AW

"Yours sincerely" is only used when you know the recipient. "Your sincerely" is typically used if you do not know the recipient. This doesn't really make sence.

I need to know what the signature block of a business letter should look like when one person dictates a letter and another person types it versus when I am asked by my boss to type a certain type of letter, but I just draft the letter without him dictating. Also, If my boss asks me to sign for him, is there a certain way to sign so that other people know he did not personally sign it? I know I learned this stuff in high school typing class, but can't find anything about it now, 40 years later. I would love a reply by email to [email protected] because I just happened to run across this site and your article and probably will never find it again. Thank you.

I agree, Freak Vondt. I was wondering what they really meant to say.

I agree we should "yours sincerely" only in case you know who are you writing to. For example his or her name, position, social status and so on. Great value with the info on the topic. Thanks.
