Click the "Windows Orb" on the bottom left corner, or press "Win Key" on your keyboard.

Select "Control Panel" in the Start Menu.

Then click on the text "System and Security".

Find "Turn automatic updating on or off" under the "Windows Update" category and click on the text.

If the items in Control Panel are shown as large icon, you can simply find "Windows Update" at the end of the windows and click on it.

Then select "Change settings" in the left column.

You'll see a pull-down menu in the window. Select "Never check for updates (not recommended)" if you want to disable Windows Update.

Click on the button "OK" finally to finish the operation. Now the Windows Update won't run automatically.
